Video of Apollo 11 moon landing, refurbished

It was supposed to be a “giant step for mankind” when US Astronaut Neil Armstrong walked on the moon on July 20, 1969. Unfortunately, the only video to record that milestone of an event was erased by NASA.

Fortunately, Hollywood came to the rescue and the video footage of man landing on the moon was revived.

From the same studio wizards who restored “Casablanca,” the video of the Apollo 11 and Armstrong on the moon was even digitally sharpened, cleaning up the ghostly and grainy footage of the moon landing, making it even better than what the was viewed on TV 40 years ago.

The reproduction of the video was done from four copies that NASA scrounged from around the globe.

Twitter has reached outer space

Astronaut Mike Massimino made Twitter history by being the first man to send a tweet from outer space, as he sent his tweet about their launch to orbit from their space shuttle Atlantis.

Massimino, said in his tweet “From orbit: Launch was awesome!! I am feeling great, working hard, & enjoying the magnificent views, the adventure of a lifetime has begun!”

Space Shuttle Lands in Florida

After a successful lift off last March 15, the Space Shuttle Discovery returns home from its successful voyage!

The Space Shuttle landed in Florida last Saturday after its successful 13 day mission to bring much needed parts to the International Space Station to bring it to full power.

The space shuttle Discovery lifted off last Sunday evening. It will be going on a mission to deliver needed supplies to the international space station.
