Last night, I can’t seem to log in to my twitter account. After a number of attempt, I thought that it was just undergoing maintenance… so I just let it be.

This morning, I tried logging in again… totally forgetting about the problem encountered with Twitter 10 or 12 hours ago… and what surprise I got!

I had a tweet which says “I just earned $152! Will update later http://sumdumurl.org”

I’ve heard of sponsored tweets and stuff, but I never signed in any of them and I think even if you do, you will still have to make the tweet yourself, right. So my immediate reaction – I changed my password!

Then another surprise – a friend who hasn’t been active on twitter suddenly tweets and said she also earned $152!

So I searched for the sumdumurl.org and as I suspected, almost everybody is tweeting about earning $152! What gives?!

Is twitter being hacked? or is twitter really behind this after all?

Anybody got a clue?
