Are you following a genuine celebrity on Twitter?
You saw the profile of your favorite celebrity on Twitter. Naturally your immediate reaction was to follow him or her. But are you sure you’re following a genuine celebrity?
We know it’s easy to assume any personality in every social media. I mean, how many celebrities with the same user name are you going to see if search for your favorite celebrity? so which one then is real?
Chances are, it would really be difficult to determine whether you are following a real celebrity or not.
But now, Twitter has a verified account feature as the micro blogging social media platform now starts to verify celebrity twitters.
Twitter has implemented its verification service to distinguish real celebrities and companies from impostors. That’s why if you would check on Ashton Kutcher or Oprah Winfrey‘s profile, you will see the “Verified Account” labels on their profile.

Funny, I checked my account and I don’t have a “Verified Account” on my profile… Oh! I forgot… I’m not a celebrity
At least, not yet lol
Anyway, this new feature of Twitter verifying identities is a great idea. Of course, you would ask if they have a reliable identity verification system. And if this verification is limited only to the Hollywood celebrities or they would also verify celebrities from our side of the planet.
