Solar Eclipse will feature the Ring of Fire
A rare Solar Eclipse that will be seen by some lucky people in Indian Ocean will feature a Ring of Fire.
This rare solar eclipse will happen on Monday when the annular solar eclipse transform the Sun into a dark disc with a blazing ring-shaped around its rim, resembling something like a ring of fire.
Honestly, I don’t recall having ever seen a solar eclipse in my life. All those solar eclipse that were announced before were either missed or not really seen from my part of the globe.
This one is said to run from East to West on Monday from 0606 GMT to 0952 GMT and it will traverse the Indian Ocean and western Indonesia before petering out just short of Mindanao, Philippines.
I’m not good at understanding all those talks, but I’m really hoping that it can be seen in Luzon too.
A solar eclipse is a phenomenon where the Moon moves between the Sun and Earth, casting its shadow on the terrestrial surface. In an annular eclipse, the Moon does not completely cover the Sun’s surface which causes the appearance of the “Ring of fire.”
So let’s watch for on Monday, and see the Ring of Fire in the sky.
